FOR YOUR INFORMATION with a student visa you are allowed to work 20 hours per week at a minimum wage of $9.50 per hour. Work can be obtained from any of the jobcentres located in all areas and by enquiring through friends, local papers, asking in pubs and restaurants, building and cleaning etc. Many students have successfully integrated in the work sector and extend their stay. An extension of your visa can be obtained by booking further courses through the school.
